(first, i want to say that there are SO MANY of your posts that I WANT to respond too, but that won't start happening for a few weeks - because using this computer is extremely slow - and that is because of all the frustrating protections i have going, keeping it from being diverted by Conficker/Hackers. plus, i am mainly restricted to LJ, and can't do any media stuff).

i am looking for a great computer on sale or ebay - something that can run Windows 7 - or an Apple, even better - and pref a netbook. and i mean REALLY inexpensive. like a dollar. find me one i like and i'll give you $20!

coming out of big relapse, i now need to figure out if i can go buy some food, etc. but i am happy just to be able to sit here and drink green tea again. my life is so much dif than it once was.

i turned on the tele, and all these kids jumped out. first, it was http://www.aquakids.tv/home.htm, which is a great show apparently. i've always been able to spot a future STAR, so mark my words that big-knocker MOLLY MCKINNEY is going places. she's been doing the show for 7 years already.

then the next show jumped out at double volume, called Zodiak Island. now, this show SCARED me with all its cutesy stuff - following, as it did, the earthquake, my relapse, the evolution of corporations into superhumans. and the weird thing was that the INTRO of the show just had little japanese-looking girls and black boys running around all fun and such... "How can this show be POSSIBLE?!" I thought. But then, of course, it was hosted by a white boy and girl. I figure it comes from New Zealand - the accents slur between British and American, phoney in both directions. Weird.

So I RAN to my radio - and caught SOUND OPINIONS, which I was hoping to catch. They were interviewing Black Francis from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pixies about one of the greatest albums of all time, Doolittle. One day, I will marry a rich woman so she can buy me all albums ever associated with the PIXIES, including all albums associated with Kim Deal and Tanya Donelly, (The Breeders, The Throwing Muses, BELLY). As far as I know, Throwing Muses made ONE crappy album, Limbo. Buy this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Real_Ramona

Be sure to check out SOUND OPINIONS. Finally, NPR's WORLD CAFE will be interviewing DAWES next week, plus L Wainwright III, who was the hubby of the famous folk musician who just died, and father of RUFUS. http://www.npr.org/templates/rundowns/rundown.php?prgId=39&agg=1 (PS - Fuck the xx and Carolina Chocolate Factory).

I also saw this: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=122288704 - Kirsty MacColl put out a fun ELECTRIC LANDLADY album w/ song WALKING DOWN MADISON, which i got because it said MADISON - uh huh huh huh... Am I mike judge now?

It's hard to believe that Shane MacGowan actually outlived Kirsty MacColl.

yep - he has alcohol for blood

or her genius hubby steve lillywhite (4 years older) who produced almost all cutting-edge rock for the last 30 years including the mx which inspired john hughs to make cutting-edge highschoolish movies

can you tell i've been googling?

here's wuts kinda interesting - mr pogue was both born on xmas, and they did that xmas song together, and she died on december 18

but her album i was thinking of was "electric landlady"
