Sam Adams Octoberfest for $4.99. Not a bad deal. But beer is beer.

First of all, did I mention that my neighborhood smelt like burnt anchovies this morning?

Also at the ERC: Mr. Anderson was duded up in black, which is what I looked like the last time he saw me. I ended up kind of slighting him last time because of something. So, this means he probably likes me. AND I'M NOT TALKING SEXUAL OK?!!!!!!!

And, someone who looked like vampchristine sat down across from me. Are you stalking me? OK. That's alright. So what. I like it.

The point of this entry is to say I went back and bought Tears for Fears "The Hurting" ($4) at CD Source. Didn't think I'd recognise the songs - but I did - it was worth it just for "Change", a song I've always loved, although it always reminded me of something else I could never put my finger on. My pal Aaron said that "Mad World" had been re-done by someone recently, and it became a hit. I don't recall that.

So, this is all just further evidence of how fucked up I am. I remember nothing. I am starting all over again. Somebody give me a break.

Somebody give me a big bag of cheese curls and I'll be happy.

Thank you, and good night.

Re: I was no where near ERC this morning.....

You neither need or deserve a rude interview.

I normally don't pay people to stalk, as the numbers are simply overwhelming.

However, if you'd be interested in a position on top of my car, you may put in an application.

I don't really have pics of myself.

Re: I was no where near ERC this morning.....

I always wondered if I was evil. Because my relatives sure as hell are.

If I had money, I'd employ everyone, especially you, because you don't deserve the shit your getting.

Yaaaaaaay! I'm glad you went back and got "The Hurting." It's one of my favorite albums. "Mad World" was covered by Gary Jules, and the song appeared (along with TFF's own version of their song "Head Over Heels") in the movie "Donnie Darko" a few years ago. TFF actually likes Gary Jules' version of the song better than their original, and when they perform the song in concert, they play it his way, which I understand is about half-tempo of their original song. I like the original a lot, but I also liked the way they did it in concert. Anyway, glad you bought and enjoyed the album.

mad world

Wow. That is decent that they play it Gary Jules' way. I probably heard the remake, but I really have this memory problem. I'm glad I got the CD, reminded me also of those other groups: Depeche Mode, Spandoux(?) Ballet, Talk Talk, Kraftwork. They were all influencing each other. Thanks.

Re: mad world

You should check out a new CD store that just opened. Today is their grand opening, though they've been open since early October. I just went in there for the first time, and it's a pretty cool place. Acme Records, on Broadway, next to Café Patou.

Re: mad world

Yeah, I think it's worth a purchase, especially on sale.
