three cheers for the wisconsin badgers! they defended the heartland trophy against iowa. even i can say that was a good game. it was surreal when iowa jumped on the ball in a pile - in the end-zone - and somehow it pops out of the pile and then wisconsin jumps on it - and first it's a touch-down for wisconsin - then it's called as a dead ball - then it's called as an inadvertent whistle - then they agree to start over and finally wisconsin wins the touchdown back
i think the autumn colours here are going to be awesome this year. right now - everything is still mature shades of green. but there were two or three trees on e. state street - where the sun hits early in the morning - which were already a beautiful blazing red.
and the squirrels are starting their annual suicide mission to gather nuts. i swear squirrels don't think about their safety when they gather their nuts. they are too excited - and their brains are too busy trying to compute where they will hide them, and copying that to clipboard
one year they didn't have a lot of time to do all that because there was a drought - so a lot of them ended up as roadkill - then the next year all these mutant black squirrels showed up
if i were a squirrel i would promise major changes
i went and got a rotiserie chicken for me and Dog - i got the eye from two prepubescent girls - i was really hoping for old italian men but i take what i can get - this morning i noticed the back garden gate was opened - and I HAD LEFT MY CAR COMPLETELY UNLOCKED
i curse myself
