Developing Teens Need Sleep to Thwart Alzheimer’s Risk – Study
Researchers warn sleep directly impacts risk for disease

Teenagers with erratic sleep patterns may have a higher risk of Alzheimer’s than their well-rested peers, new tests on mice suggest.

Children up to 18 years old are advised to get a solid eight hours of sleep a night, but the hormonal spikes of puberty – and taste for rebellion – make that tough.

However, a new study by neuroscientists at the University of Pennsylvania found teens who cut down on sleep, or wake up during the night, are more likely to develop dangerous build-ups in their brain that pave the way to dementia.

Do you have an interest in dementia? Did you know my thesis work is all about lifestyle and cognitive decline?  We should be friends. Haha.

We are friends. Demented friends. Actually, if you were my friend, you would have watched those movies I told you about. I want to hear you talk about them.

Well, besides Psych in college, someone I loved died of Alzheimers. Plus I am constantly dealing with CFS dementia/vertigo, which is really a lot like various other dementia. I have learnt so many things about what in my lifestyle encourages dementia. So, in fact, we really should be sharing thoughts.

Of course I know about your thesis, silly. I will be posting many links about aging for you as soon as I can - but I am so backed up. How much time do I have to help you in various ways?

I forget what movies they were. Was that a PM or a comment? I think a comment. I can dig back through my LJ history to find it.

I have been looking for movies to watch.

I am working on this thesis for at least the next year and a half. So. Let's talk about it, eventually. When you have time or whatever. Haha.

I commented on one of your posts -

I can remember two of the movies:

"Seeking a Friend For The End Of The World" - and

"Young Adult"

I would be more than happy than to be an unannotated inspiration for your theses sounds like feces. I mean it.
