Oh btw - my brain was crap when I commented. In fact, that was the same song going through my mind too: "I don't know what color your eyes are, baby..."

It is terrible what oldies stations are doing to this nation...

Well, squirrels have spatial thinking and amazing memory - but crows do too, and can use tools, so. On the other hand, crows don't have opposable thumbs, which means we should eat them and not squirrels. lol

I can imagine getting really sick of Dylan after a life like that. It's good that you do respect his music, nevertheless.

I think you should post all about your run-away to NM.

I don't own a single Bob Dylan song or album. Which is weird. I think he's great but also annoyingly weird. But, you know what? I imagine that it would have been SO COOL to have been alive at that time, in that atmosphere, with hippie friends, reading the Beats, smoking, protesting, growing up with Bob Dylan as god. Seriously. I can totally forgive the people who did that, all of whom are fuck-up shits today.

Nice gif but I don't know the original. I had to check the song title again this time - and the Wiki page was interesting - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subterranean_Homesick_Blues

I seriously wonder if you might just have a radio with a crappy speaker. I was always led to believe that HD was supposed to be this awesome thing...

I probably should write about New Mexico before I completely forget the experience.

If you ever do get an album of his, I highly recommend Highway 60 Revisited. It was the one of my dad's Dylan records that I would listen to when he wasn't home... getting caught using his record players would result in violence, so I had to be sneaky. The song Ballad of a Thin Man was too interesting to not listen to it.

I can get a lot of really nice HD stations, it's just that the NPR station sends out a low quality broadcast on their HD2 station. I think they'd rather you listened to it online so they can keep track of how many people are listening. It doesn't matter what speakers I hook the radio up too, that particular station always sounds bad.

That's actually an album I have been wanted to get some day.

Now that I think of it, I might have, "Desire," on cassette somewhere. I think that was also a great album.

With your past background, you should be a famous musician now.

"Ballad of a Thin Man," has become one of my fav Dylan songs, because it is so surreal. I guess people back then gobbled it up, thinking it was meaningful, but it makes no sense and that's why I love it.

During the revolution, we shall smite NPR.

OK. I thought so.

Hwy 60 is probably in Ukraine or something.
