cheers - smiling flower

please deposit poll tax here

A few nights ago, I had a dream which included this: There has been a tragic decline in spaghetti communities worldwide.

This poll is a test. But i figure I might as well make it a real poll!...

Here's the issue: I have been considering making my journal-friends-only.  Just the shared- reposts, (from Guardian, etc.), would remain public, mainly.  Most other posts would only be readable by my LJ friends.

The poll...  (I didn't list topics like Science; Economics; History, or AnthroArchaeology.  So, feel free to comment, as well.  All comments are screened.  But I don't think non-friends can comment, due to journal settings)...

Poll #2099300 Public / Private - (check as many as applicable)

"The future is in PLASTICS!" - eghhh...

Have you ever foreseen, or correctly predicted, the future?

One time I remember clearly, wherein I foresaw the future, was in the 1990's.  I was watching TV.  A car commercial appeared, showing a little hybrid SUV driving to the summit of a mountain, whereupon an eagle flew overhead, screeching.  I saw that car and thought to myself, "I'm going to have that car!"  It was ridiculous to think so, as I was disabled, I had no money, and the car cost several thousand dollars.  But the feeling was absolutely certain!  I was destined to own an Eagle Summit Wagon!

A number of years later, I had new Social Security money to spend, so I planned to buy a used car.  I went to the library and found a book on recent SUVs.  I had no remembrance of what an Eagle Summit was, or of the commercial.  But, all my research and comparisons convinced me that I should buy an Eagle Summit.  It was great on gas; was very safe, and the seats could be removed for enough space for me to lie down any time I needed to.  It would also be great for helping with groceries, transporting my dog, etc.

So, that's what I ended up doing.  I found the best one for the price, being sold by someone in Cincinnati, and I took buses down there and drove it back home.  I think it was like $3000.  A price which hasn't changed  much on those (1995's) to this date, although they are less common to find.

Another time I foreTOLD the future was when, in Madison, a lesbian friend offered to kiss me all over my body.  I said something really stupid, (among other things): "Sorry, but I see myself as a tragic figure."  Soon after that, I contracted CFS and have been a tragedy ever since.

I did predict the DEPRESSION of 2007/8, and have a LJ post or two proving that - somewhere.

That's all I can remember for now.  I have correctly predicted other things, usually based on thought, and not a psychic sense or dreams.  And you can find most of these via my tag, "my predictions / prophesies" .  It's  not any big deal, like I am some kind of psychic genius or anything.  It is just a delight to get things right.  When your predictions turn out right, especially if they spring from a psychic well, then you can be confident that you are something like on a proper path for yourself.  This does not necessarilly mean you are the path of best health, but that you are coming closer to being true to yourself.  Many psychic prodigies, in fact, tend to have been traumatised, injured or blessed with some chronic illness or handicap.  Which is only fair because, there must be some kind of justice or compensation to those who suffer, even if it be fanciful or practically irrelevant.
