(no subject)

there's a line in the play
"A Man For All Seasons"
"if you are going to make trouble
make the kind that's expected"

does that apply
to ordinary conversation?
is one supposed to say
what is expected?
don't be too clever
don't be too smart
don't say anything controversial

above all don't be original
just talk like everyone else
or sit silent

or as it has been described
you will stand out like an orange
in a bunch of apples
what's an orange to do?
