Our Inherent Assumption of Will - Part One

A long time ago, I was lying in bed with a girlfriend. I had told her, "Every time your stomach rumbles, that means that a decision has been made."

My stomach rumbled. But this time, it was very different.

"And, so, what decision did you make, just now?" she asked.

"I don't know," I said. "That had nothing to do with me!"

And, this was true. My gut had been taken over by CFS and, for the rest of my life, I would have no connection to what is called, my, "second brain." I had lost all intimacy with, and control of, my own gut. All my theories flew out the window. What was worse, so did the rest of my life.

Whither went my will?

Where does your will go when a concrete wall collapses upon you in an earthquake?

Did your will count for nothing, all your life?

Was it even anything to begin with?

These, and more.
