Maybe LJ will never bear down on We the American Bloggers, especially if we have paid accounts. Maybe their own scheme is only to mess with Russian LJournalistas, until it loses so much money, everything collapses eventually, and we all become legacy accounts.
However, the mere fact that LJ moved its servers to Russia, means that service has become so bad here in the United States, that it the equivalent of censorship. It is virtual techno fascism - by default. Posts keep getting eaten away. Posts and comments get blocked and destroyed by 400 and 404 error messages. This may have well been the work of Stalin, but it comes from something worse - even more cold and random: The brutal reign of the all powerful Big Mistake. He is everywhere - a ghost in our machines - a force to be reckoned with - an accident waiting to happen again and again. It will lead us all to madness! The example below will reveal just how demonic Mr. Big Mistake can be, for he has slaughtered my most groovy community!
It haunts me like it was only 4 days ago. I frolicked into my elitist community,
indie_lifestyle, merely to send a membership invitation to someone on a lark. What would come my way I could hardly have imagined in my darkest nightmares!
It took me four tries, sending out that invitation. I was blocked by big mistakes and error messages. Well, it finally went through. "A success!", said LiveJournal. "And we have also removed the following members from this community..."
It was a bloodbath! The population was decimated. So many free-thinking, art-loving spirits, lost to the bells and whistles of internet entropy - to the political whims of random mechanical mayhem - to a bloody appetite even greater than Frank the Goat's!
Please help us rebuild this community! Please send in new bodies we can call members! Don't take this sitting down! Fight back! Keep LiveJournal alive, even though it is the walking dead at the moment, yes, I know. But we are the blood of this great zombie! We are the antibodies of this vast disease! If not us, then maybe some other people! And, if not now, then maybe you could do this tomorrow! If you like independence, and good movies, and good music, and getting by on a shoestring budget because LJ costs so much, then add your vote of confidence by joining today! Come on! What ahve you &n inpu err PLEASE CORRECT MANUALLY...
