I double-checked on "Lightnin' Strikes," and it looks like you hit the right one - (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lightnin%27_Strikes). I can't view videos unless I am at the library. That's one reason why I haven't commented on some of your posts - woops.

Honestly, I didn't know anything about, "Golden Earring." I like, "Radar Love." It's one of the few classic rock songs that never gets old. But I guess I thought it was by the Guess Who, (one of your Canadian bands). I don't have a clue what Twilight Zone sounds like, so I'm going to have to listen to it at the library. Maybe it was mostly a Canadian hit. Any song that achieves the greatness of a woman's orgasm must be good.

You can totally comment any way you want in my posts, unless you hate on me, yo, yo. There are so many other songs I like, too. I should make a list one day. For no apparent reason.

:)

I ain't quite Canadian. I'm a life long Seattlite. I get the feeling if you do listen to the song, you will recognize it from the opening guitar riff right away, unless Seattle is just so much cooler than the rest of the country. Really Golden Earring only had like two hits in the U.S. Almost a third, but the lyrics were a little bit to rapey to go over well here.

One sad thing about my area is that the "oldies" station is gone. We have a few classic rock stations, some "hits from the 70's, 80's" type stations, and a "retro radio" station that plays very old oldies, but nothing that quite fits the classic oldies platform anymore. Alas, no more Beach Boys, Doobis Brothers, and you can forget a Tequila Sunrise. It's all Heart, Fleetwood Mac, and way way too much Journey... not that I'm dissing any of those bands, I just hear them way too much.

Oh, I am so sorry I screwed up on that. I knew you were in Seattle but mistook your location because of my creepy crawly migraine. And yes, Seattle is way cooler than everywhere except where I am, lol!!

During a high-school break, I went with three friends on a road trip around the country. I reeeely wanted to see Seattle, but got voted down. Eventually, I hitchhiked and hopped a grain train out to Seattle, where I rescued a kid from his stepdad, or someone. (That's when all my troubles began, ha ha). I do take exception w/ Fleetwood Mac, though, I never seem to get sick of them. It's interesting how they worked, musically.

Heart can suck eggs because all I ever hear are the same three stupid songs, when they did some other better stuff. I really don't understand who programmes these radio stations, or who would want to listen to it much. There's a different oldies station on AM here, which plays a variety of even older songs, but I can't turn to it because the reception is weird.

It's kind of odd to think that even Seattle can't come up with good oldies. In my opinion, it is high time to play hidden, album tracks done by these oldies artists, instead of nonstop top-40's.

I need to check out Golden Earring.

I know what you mean - Journey is a great band, but I hate them by now because they've been played way too much. Seriously. Its like me and everyone else is being made into a prisoner of someone else's earworm.

It's okay. My thoughts are jumbled, so it was easy for me to straighten them out.

The first time you posted this comment, I wondered if it might have meant that you thought that I was saying that YOUR comment was jumbled. Then I decided that you understood what I meant.

lol, thanks.
