"What's wrong with using people?!"

"What's wrong with invading their privacy and expecting them to care when we do not care?"

This is the bunk of the rich - the socialitists.

Here's a true story for you.

One of my 1% cow-orkers threw a housewarming party. He invited his business partner, but none of his other team members, because "[they] worked for him." He later asked the most junior person on the team to come -- to hang up coats. I hope she didn't go; I didn't ask.

This was the same person who phoned the same junior person while she was on holidays, staying at her friend's friend's house, to ask where she kept her documents for shredding.

Not related, but here's another story. I've had the bus I was on boarded by transit cops, checking for proof of payment, and it's a very unsettling experience. Those guys must feel so macho, pushing around a bunch of commuters. In the story, they brutalize poor, possibly homeless, seniors. Disgusting.

Some people!

btw - Recently, while I was describing the nonsense from below, to the LL, she chimed in, something like, "Some people!" That's pretty encouraging, yes, coming from a LL?!

Well - that cow-jerker has a permanent problem. I've known people and relatives who take the same liberties, and they never change.

(I will need to view the link via proxy soon). I can imagine that the experience of being disrespected - violated - on the bus would be a pretty bad experience. I hate it when I am already resorting to stooping to such things as public transport due to poverty, and on top of that I am abused in one way or another, as are the rest of the herd.

Those cops should be ashamed. Some jerks seek out abusive jobs like that. But others act like bullies because they themselves feel mistreated or belittled from others still "higher up." It's sad.

One other thing I forgot to put in my previous post: many of our bus drivers are compassionate. If someone doesn't have bus fare, they'll give that person a ride, if only to the other side of one of the bridges. I wonder if the transit cops are also trying to keep the drivers in line, too.

The transit cops on Skytrain caught a woman for fare evasion. It turned out that she was here illegally, and as a result of her arrest, she was scheduled to be sent back to her country. While waiting in a holding cell at Vancouver International Airport, she hung herself.
