wow

The minute I heard the great song, "Stay With Me", I thought it was strongly reminiscent of Tom Petty's, "I Won't Back Down".

I think Sam Smith is an excellent singer. I also think that Mary J. Blige is fantastic, ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_J._Blige ) , even though she is not a 100% tonal singer. She did a great co-performance with Sam Smith...

Wiki-
"On 25 March 2014, the song was played for the first time on Zane Lowe's BBC Radio 1 show at 7:30pm.[3][4][5] On 29 March, he performed the song live on Saturday Night Live in the United States. On 16 May, he performed the song on The Graham Norton Show. In June, he returned to the United States as part of his tour where he performed the song on Good Morning America, at the Apollo Theater in New York with Mary J. Blige, and David Letterman."

I really wished that someone else would make the connection. Sure enough, there was a lawsuit filed. Then, Petty and LYNNE got a percentage of the income. Cool on that. Now, the song is being brought up as the best song of the year. I think this is in negligence of the aforementioned contributors. Not sure. This is a current hot topic.
