So this is the new year.
And I don't feel any different.
The clanking of crystal
Explosions off in the distance (in the distance).
So this is the new year
And I have no resolutions
For self assigned penance
For problems with easy solutions
So everybody put your best suit or dress on
Let's make believe that we are wealthy for just this once
Lighting firecrackers off on the front lawn
As thirty dialogues bleed into one
I wish the world was flat like the old days
Then I could travel just by folding a map
No more airplanes, or speed trains, or freeways
There'd be no distance that can hold us back.
There'd be no distance that could hold us back [Repeat: x2]
So this is the new year [Repeat: x4]
I haven't been right with the world lately. I don't now how the sun could have let this planet get so far-gone. Good interviews lately: NPR's "Fresh Air" - good summary insights on Obama care, pretty much reflecting all my conclusions of yore; "True News" radio show interviewed a guy taking about correlation of solar activity and cooling periods, wars, and also Little Steven's "UndergroundGarage.com" interview with Paul McCartney. These are all great and recommended. - I saw the girl today. Not what I was planning. It was interesting but I won't go into it. I might look to Valentines to be the best bet. Listening to NPR's WORLD CAFE somehow made me think of her - maybe she was listening to the same show thinking of me. Me and my sad puppy dog life. I feel like I got hit by a truck - (See "This American Life"!) - and I went to Hell. And what is hell? Being returned right back to this very same life - nowhere left to go.
Somethings gotta give. Little talk rehash - http://songmeanings.com/songs/view/15160/ Please goggle all of the above. PS - I searched around a building today, hoping it was a taco shop but it was a crematorium.
