Correlation: Least religious = more LGBT protections and/or attitudes. Cosmopolitan Atlanta (+) lifts Georgia (-) out of the correlation. More Hispanics bring California (+) out of the correlation somewhat. Illinois would be lower on LGBT if it weren't for Chg. Really, LGBT is related to large urban areas, liberal.
