I only started eating eggs in 2011, I don't like the smell, but my flatmate made me try one & they're ok. I only ever eat them fried though, and 2 eggs is too much, but 1 isn't enough! The Mr & I make omelettes without milk. I've never had pumpkin because I've only ever used them for carving and the innards smell SO awful, it doesn't smell yummy at all!

Oh, ha ha! I agree, fresh pumpkin is something of a challenge to want to be around. I tried mixing some of that with the canned stuff, and frankly it is way too much of a bother. But there are few things w/ more beta caroteen. However, the canned stuff is a bit different tasting. It is blended and smooth, and brownish orange. It's sweetish. With nutmeg, cloves, Cinnamon, and such "Wassail" spices, plus some sweetener, etc., it makes a wonderful pie. Sometimes it can be bought already mixed for pie-making. Libbys is an American brand - which I believe belongs to a company which is healthier than average.

I also have the same odd trouble deciding how much eggs to eat(!) I usually give my dog 1/3 - 1/2 of my morning eggs or egg dish. Organic, fully free-range eggs are the best tasting, (with less artificial contaminants). And I have found that eggs seem tastier when they are slowly cooked (fried).

My hamster likes egg, but she can't have it fried, so she only gets it at my parents as they hard boil their eggs :)

heh - it's interesting you added that cuz I was going to mention your hamster possibly liking eggs but I wasn't sure if I should breach the subject. I hope your liking your new friend now.

My dog knows the phrase, "eggs in the morning." It's something he looks forward to.
