Dear NPR:

Thank you for pre-empting a week's worth of, "World Cafe," so you can spend all nights covering the GOP convention. Like this makes any sense whatsoever. China-store-bought partisan politics is worth spending a week on? When nobody wants to hear it? We don't care to hear more shit-shovelling about two guys who are in bed with the banks, while the cold hungry fingers of reality are closing around our necks. THIS IS NOT RELEVANT INFORMATION!

They have to so that the conservatives don't accuse NPR of catering to the liberals. I don't want to listen to it either, and neither does Tropical Storm Isaac, so I'll just be avoiding NPR all week.

Isaac was a tad ironic, wasn't it?! The gov of LA was out complaining that Obama, "hasn't done enough to help!" even before the hurricane hit - I'm surprised the convention didn't do more of this sort of nonsense, but that would not have been wise, considering...

yes - it's been all over NPR, so avoidance is also my strategy. But I also don't want to hear much at all about the Democratic convention either. This partisan stuff just obscures the deeper problems, which may swallow us all like a mega-Isaac.
