Apple Cider Vinegar!

Posted on 2012.04.12 at 21:28
I eat 1/2 steel-cut oats and 1/2 GF multigrain. (I would use Skottish oats but there was a special on steel-cut). I use a celtic sea-salt and a tiny amount of nuts/sunfl.seeds. I also add fenugreek seeds, some cut tangerine pieces, used tea herbs, yam/lecithin mix, a little black pepper, & a little baking soda. Boil, reduce, add cereal mix. When almost done, turn off heat, mix in a fair amount of cinnamon, leave on hot element. Stir later. When cooler, add about 2-3 TBs apple cider vinegar. Salt to taste. gOOd!!! I mean to try apple slices instead of tangerine next. Also - you can MAKE your own apple cider vinegar - it is much healthier than dead store-bought! (Just add active vinegar or brewer's yeast or wine or beer to apple juice and let it age in a cool place). One thing is this: it provides important digestive enzymes, (which may help fight gluten intolerance, etc.), and probably also contains a high amount of MALIC ACID, which provides lots of energy. Oats, btw, have lots of energising B vitamins. Not sure how much B1 (thiamine) they contain, but extremely high amounts of B1 is said to fight dementia/Alzheimers type illnesses, etc. - so anyway, here's a link - http://naturalsociety.com/benefits-of-apple-cider-vinegar/

this just reminded me (and I'd meant to ask you about a week ago about this) but any thoughts on apple cider vinegar tablets? Like ones found in the vitamin aisle. A friend recommended it to me, and I picked some up as they were rather inexpensive. I'm actually one of the few people I know not repulsed by the smell or taste of apple cider vinger, but figured theses would work just as well.

Hi! Well, I'd guess that the potential advantages would outweigh the small price. I used to feel it was silly buying supplements for such a thing, or for cranberry, etc. But it's worth it.

However, a main thing about apple cider vinegar, ("ACV"), is its enzymes, which mobilise nutrients, which means you may eat less, and can even lose weight. I also believe these enzymes can fight gluten intolerance by helping to digest the gluten before it reaches the bloodstream/allergy - but I need to check on this. At least ACV improves the gut and so makes it less permeable to gluten. The problem is that I do not know whether these enzymes remain active in supplement form. Or HOW active. (And I also don't know if cooking affects them).

I'd go ahead. Another thing you can do is to take Brewer's Yeast, with all its B vitamins, which will produce a little vinegar itself. Vinegar contains acetaldehyde, which is a blood/brain toxin, and so taking too much vinegar can be bad for people like us. (Aldehydes, also from cooked oils, contribute to neurodegenerative processes). Nevertheless, I laud ACV - and I suggest that you might consider taking it in it's "live" form (containing the mist called "Mother of Vinegar) by making your own, and then adding it to things like Apple Juice. When I make my own, I also include some juice, and it really can be absolutely delicious, though still tart/sour.

Since I have you attention, I would also mention that one fellow believes that such illnesses as Lupus can eventually be cured by astronomically high amounts of thiamine (B1); and selenium. http://thepowerhour.com/schedule.htm = THURSDAY - APRIL 12, 2012.

I believe that the MOST IMPORTANT THING to treat many illnesses is to consistently avoid allergic triggers such as gluten, perhaps corn, etc., over long long periods of time; as well to completely change the types of bacteria, etc., populations within the gut, by quitting sugars, "refineds", most meat, most oil, etc. - basically going macrobiotic - and introducing acidophilus, soil-based bacteria - and FERMENTED STUFF LIKE VINEGAR, WINE, YOGURT, ETC. Sounds silly, but it's CRITICAL. There's something like 10x more foreign cells than OUR OWN CELLS in our body, and this mix is in close contact with the brain and immune systems.

Also important: DETOX. ACV also helps detox! So does bentonite clay, cilantro, dandelion, GF oats, and etc.
