Tension is to be loved
When it is like a passing note
To a beautiful, beautiful chord

Remember those days when we still felt like a sweet loving life could be made? Despite the fallen towers? Remember when we still held in esteem HONESTY, and HUMILITY, and INNOCENCE. Even in a time of adversity, there were still hearts singing out against WAR, through their sad paralysis. We tried. We declared a future. We deserved to add out right to the democracy of spirit - and move a little FORWARD. Those were the days when, at least tucked away in a corner of our own personal, warming world, we still believed some INVISIBLE HAND would be ours, to make things right - instead of the blasphemous HAND THAT that TAKES. Instead of a global machine gun pointing at our head. Well, I - I still believe. And on this day, my dog is in fine spirits but I - I cry to these words. But you, I know - I know your heart is a hand; and so I write, even now. What a morning. I'm throwing today to the wind. Once again.

Tonight - Sixpence None the Richer

Tonight it's time
Choose a direction
If you fail
You can make a correction
Somewhere now
Make life faster
Make your mind
Up for once this time

It's hard
To know
Where I
Supposed to go

It's hard
So hard to know
To know
Where I'm supposed to go
Tonight
Tonight

Tonight it's time
Choose a direction
If you fail
You can make a correction
Somewhere now
Make life faster
Make your mine
And for once this time

It's like
To know
Where I
Supposed to go

It's hard
So hard to know
To know
Where I'm supposed to go
Tonight
Tonight

Tonight I'm going let it go
And try to let it be
Because I know you see
That it's hard
To know
Where I supposed to go
But there is
A way
And tomorrow is a brand new day
And it's hard
So hard to know
Where I supposed to be
But there is a way
And tomorrow is a brand new day
Tonight
Tonight

Waiting On The Sun - Sixpence None the Richer

I'm going nowhere and I'm going to take my time
All the questions in the world
I can leave in my mind
I'm waiting on the sunshine, the sunshine

I'm waiting for answers
I'm waiting to figure it out
I took all my chances
I slipped through my town

[Chorus]
I'm going nowhere and I'm going to take my time
All the questions in the world
I can leave in my mind
I'm waiting on the sunshine, the sunshine,
The sunshine

Well it seems that my weakness
Is sometimes my only strength
And in my incompleteness you get your way

[Chorus]

I'll be around and I will find my way back down
Yeah I've seen the sound of the sun

I'm going nowhere and I'm going to take my time
All the questions in the world
I can leave in my mind
I'm waiting on the sunshine, the sunshine,
The sunshine, the sunshine

Paralyzed - Sixpence None the Richer

I look out to the fields
Where blood is shed upon the ground
I breathe in, breathe out
Change the channel, (mute) the sound
I take a match, a cigarette, and a walk to clear my head
Stomach seething at the thought of all those (human beings dead)

I breathe in, breathe out
I'm going to an interview
About a song, three minutes long
That will mean nothing to you
Especially when your dearest friend
Was sent to cover Kosovo
His last assignment brought a bullet
And now he's gone, he's gone

Feels like I'm (fiddling) while Rome is burning down
Should I put my (fiddle) down and rise up from the ground
God give me strength to pray that You will set things right
'cause I'm paralyzed, I'm paralyzed

There was a (Christian) in the office
Sent to tell the wife (the news)
Fell in shock, the baby kicked, shed a tear inside the womb
I breathe in, breathe out
Soak the ground up with my eyes
I try to say a healing word
But my tongue is paralyzed

Feels like I'm (fiddling) while Rome is burning down
Should I put my (fiddle) down and rise up from the ground
God give me strength to pray that You will set things right
'cause I'm paralyzed, I'm paralyzed

Bosnia - The Cranberries

I would like to state my vision
Life was so unfair
We live in our secure surroundings
And people die out there
Bosnia was so unkind
Sarajevo changed my mind
And we all call out in despair
All the love we need isn't there
And we all sing songs our rooms
Sarajevo erects an undertune
Sarajevo, Sarajevo, Sarajevo
Bosnia was so unkind
Sarajevo, Sarajevo, Sarajevo
Bosnia was so unkind
Sure things would change if we really wanted them to
No fear for children anymore
There are babies in their hands, terror in their heads
For life, for life
When do the saints go marching in?
When do the saints go marching in?

Peace On Earth - U2

Heaven on Earth, we need it now
I'm sick of all of this hanging around
Sick of sorrow, sick of the pain
I'm sick of hearing again and again
That there's gonna be peace on Earth

Where I grew up
There weren't many trees
Where there was, we'd tear them down
And use them on our enemies

They say that what you mock
Will surely overtake you
And you become a monster
So the monster will not break you

And it's already gone too far
Who said that if you go in hard, you won't get hurt?
Jesus, can you take the time
To throw a drowning man a line?
Peace on Earth

Tell the ones who hear no sound
Whose sons are living in the ground
Peace on Earth
No whos or whys
No one cries, like a mother cries
For peace on Earth
She never got to say goodbye
To see the colour in his eyes
Now he's in the dirt
Peace on Earth

They're reading names out over the radio
All the folks, the rest of us won't get to know
Sean and Julia, Garreth, Ann and Breda
Their lives are bigger than any big idea

Jesus, can you take the time
To throw a drowning man a line?
Peace on Earth
To tell the ones who hear no sound
Whose sons are living in the ground
Peace on Earth

Jesus, sing the song you wrote
The words are sticking in my throat
Peace on Earth
Hear it every Christmas time
But hope and history won't rhyme
So, what's it worth?
This peace on Earth

Peace on Earth
Peace on Earth
Peace on Earth

A Million Parachutes - Sixpence None the Richer

Like a million parachutes
The snow's coming down
I'll lock up the front door
And turn the lights down
In the glow of the street lights
I see them descend
Like a million parachutes
Small men on a mission

[Chorus]
I miss the warmth
And I miss the sun
I miss the ocean
I miss everyone
And I miss the bridges
That span across the bay
Tonight, it seems like ages ago

Like a million parachutes
The snow still falls
The dogs are asleep now
There's no one to call
I'll put on some records
And wait for the light
Under those million parachutes
Now a blanket of white

[Chorus: x2]

Sleep well.

Sleep deep. Think of days when life was together. And then, dream.

Springtime...

Good Morning.
