amazing life

Re: Bonobo self domestication: Hey, we did it, why shouldn't they?
it seems they knew when to stop.

The Price biography really made me sad, but i'm glad you shared it. I tend to overdiagnose autism in geniuses, but i really identified with the guy. However, i did not commit suicide at age 53 and i'm glad i didn't.

Appropos of nothing, i recommend the book, My Stroke of Insight, by Jill Bolte Taylor.

Re: amazing life

i so agree with you that we have domesticated ourselves - into pet like creatures - i have thought for a while that this is something amazing

and yes - the geo price bio is sad, and true - he had a beautiful mind

oh - i think you recommended a stroke book - i think i know of the woman - she's a motivational speaker who once had a stroke and drifted into la-la land for a while - EXTREMELY interesting - i'm glad you know of this

i can't read books though - i suppose i could it would just take me about a year per book

but this also reminds me of the autistic woman who advocates for better treatment of cattle going into slaughter - i'm sure you must have heard of her / interviews w/her

Re: amazing life

Yeah, Temple Grandin. amazing woman with "classic autism" I sometimes think that the people "low on the spectrum" are even more amazing than the Einstein's, Price's, etc.

la-la land aka nirvana.
